He was meant to become Terumasa's friend, yet he left him feeling lonely. Chastened, Chokkaku invites Terumasa to his home. The whole family is delighted, heating the bath and preparing a meal, spared no effort in welcoming him. Terumasa keeps up his usual sour remarks, but with Chokkaku's mother he turns honest and open.
